Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

After a few days of having sex, I experience pain and irritation in the vagina and lower abdomen, somewhat like a UTI. Recently, I also started having pain during intercourse. What should I do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Your symptoms are suggestive of vaginitis. It is mainly due to fungal infection. I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. Keep the area dry and clean.

2. Drink a lot of warm water and have a soft diet.

3. Use antifungal medicine and cream for application.

4. Wear cotton undergarments.

5. Reduce sugar intake.

6. Do not wash your vagina frequently with water.

7. Check your blood sugar.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
