Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 23-year-old female, and I have pain and a burning sensation during sex and after that, I feel sore. This has been happening since the very first time I had sex and is continuing till now. I am scared of having sex since I know I will feel the pain. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We are elated to have you on board at icliniq.com.

The clinical symptoms that you have mentioned may be due to pelvic inflammatory disease (an infection of the female reproductive organs) that might be causing pain during sex. Do you notice any vaginal discharge, swelling, or rashes around the vagina? I suggest you do a high vaginal and endo cervical swab test and follow up with the results. Also,I suggest the following treatment plan:

  1. Use 1% Miconazole (Gyno-Daktarin) vaginal insertion twice a day.

  2. Tablet Diclofenac 100 mg orally twice a day.

  3. Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg orally thrice a day.

  4. Capsule Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid (Co-Amoxiclav) 625 mg orally twice a day.

  5. Tablet Ketoconazole 200 mg orally every day.

  6. Tablet Acyclovir 800 mg orally every day.

If your symptoms persist, kindly schedule another appointment for follow-up.

I wish you good health.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
