Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I bit very hard about three weeks ago. The bottom of my front tooth hit the roof of my mouth just behind the top front tooth. It was swollen. My doctor prescribed me an antibiotic. I still have a spot on the roof of my mouth that makes chewing difficult. There is no hole in it. There is a smooth red color around the edges that gets darker at times. It is round and painful.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I looked over the image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). The image is not clear. Hence, I cannot diagnose it. Since you have been hitting that spot regularly, it could be a tissue growth. Give it a few more days and see if it disappears. If not, then consult a nearby dentist. Kindly check why you keep on hitting that spot. It can be a cause of derangement in the dentition. Correct the cause to avoid future injury. If it is painful, apply Dentogel (Choline Salicylate and Lidocaine) before eating to relieve the pain. Gargle with lukewarm water and salt. We will have a follow-up after a few days. Kindly send me a clear pic for diagnosis.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
