Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 42-year-old female. I seem to have small white worms or mites coming out of my skin. It also appears to be covered with tiny black splinters or spores and tiny black fibers. They are making tunnels through my skin and destroying my face. My best friend had similar symptoms a year ago, and I got it six months ago. I was treated with Ivermectin and Mebendazole, but neither of them worked for me. I can feel a burning or tingling sensation and sometimes like being stung by bees. I am not psychotic or suffer from delusional parasitosis, but there is some parasite going around, and it is contagious. Currently, I take Ativan, Adderall, and Dilaudid for DDD. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is a parasitic infestation with a secondary bacterial infection. I would suggest the following. Apply 5 Percent Permethrin cream on day one and day seven (all over the body below the neck) at night, keep it for eight to 12 hours, then wash it the next morning. Do not apply to the face and genital area. Take Tablet Zentel 400 mg (Albendazole) only once stat (immediately). Use Permite BB (Permethrin) bar soap for a bath for two months. Take Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night after food for seven days(if itching). Use Nadibact cream (Nadifloxacin) twice daily in the morning and night on the face lesion for 15 days. Maintain proper hygiene. Wash clothes separately in hot water. Iron them regularly. Change bed linens or bedsheets, pillows every alternate day. Bath twice daily. Add Neem leaves to bathwater. Add anti-septic liquid Dettol to bathwater. Regards.
