Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been having irregular periods, hormonal imbalance, severe acne, and extreme weight gain.

I have a history of PCOS and I have been taking the tablet Lamotrigine and the tablet Serotia.

I would like to know how to deal with this condition.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

As you were previously diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), the symptoms you are experiencing now are of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) likely.

PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) is dealt with medications but the most important thing is changing the lifestyle.

Along with medicines you need to make a few changes in your overall daily routine.

First and foremost is bringing your weight to a healthy level. This will solve half of the issue.

Regular exercise is very important. Also, adopt healthy food habits.

Food with fewer carbohydrates, fats, and more fiber is the best.

It will take time but these changes will definitely help resolve your issue. Make sure you avoid fast food and drinks that are full of carbohydrates.

The acne you are having might be linked to a high carbohydrate diet so adapt to a healthy lifestyle, that is the best way to deal with PCOS.

Hope this helps you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
