Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 33 years old and a mother of two kids. Both of my deliveries were C-sections. I had my last delivery nine years back. Now I am experiencing slight pain under the stitches at the time of white discharges. It is happening for the last two months. White discharge is transparent in appearance and has no bad smell. And I am having a slipped disc and wearing a belt around my waist during the day (almost 8 to 10 hours) for the last two years. Is it because of me wearing the strap or some infection? Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I hope you are talking of white discharge of the vagina, and there is no discharge from the stitch line. It has no direct relation with pain, but the pain in the lower abdomen, which you feel is at the stitch site, can be due to PID (pelvic inflammatory disease). The treatment for both white discharge and pain will be a course of antibiotics:
1. Tablet Doxycycline - one tablet, twice daily for seven days.
2. Tablet Metrogyl (Metronidazole) - one tablet, twice daily for seven days.
3. Anti-inflammatory for pain.
Also, check urine routine to rule out UTI (urinary tract infection). Pain can be due to constant pressure of the belt as well, but not the discharge. I will advise you to get one Pap smear also. Try to maintain your weight and take your diet accordingly and drink plenty of water. You can also use a vaginal wash.
Thanks.
