Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been using high quality, highly rated penis extender for two days for eight hours a day and no for the past three weeks now. Do these things really work? Is it possible to experience penis shortening instead of enlarging? A month ago, I was 7” but now I am almost at 7”.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I want to know the reason for which you are using a penile extender. Do you have a very decent size why you want to increase it further? It is like your height is 6 feet but you want it to be 6.3. Everything you do has got side effects. If not done properly can lead to trauma and hence shortening. Are you diabetic or hypertensive? Any other chronic illness?
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I want to do it for cosmetic reasons and my goal is 8". But now I am seeing that since I have been using extensor it is just under 7. Is it possible for a penis extender to shorten the length of the penis? And if so is the shortening permanent? Do penis extenders really work?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Let me clear your doubt. These devices do not increase the size of your penis in erectile state i. e. they have no effect on the size of your erection instead there are risks which include tearing of the tissue, burst of blood vessels, and sometimes penile fracture when done incorrectly. They do not shorten the penile length as such but trauma during their use can occur which heals with fibrosis and this fibrosis can lead to shortening. This kind of shortening is marginal but permanent. I hope this helps.
