Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am married for about six months. I seem to have performance anxiety during sexual intercourse. But I am fine with masturbating though. I have proper erections. But cannot stay erect during intercourse. I have no family problems. I have tried relaxing techniques and all, but no hope. I exercise regularly and I am having no major medical issues. Can you please advice some medicines to treat this and to help get sexual arousal and erections?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Performance anxiety is quite common in newly married couples. If you are not getting relief with deep breathing and relaxation, you could try anti-anxiety pills. I would also recommend taking a tablet to help with erection for a few times until you get confident. I would suggest you taking tablet Etilaam (Etizolam) 0.5 mg and tablet Forzest (Tadalafil) 10 mg two hours before sexual activity. Please note that Forzest (Tadalafil) cannot be taken on consecutive days. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and with their consent take the medicines. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

So, Forzest should be taken before planning for sexual intercourse and not daily right?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, Forzest (Tadalafil) is to be taken about two hours before sex. It should not be taken daily. Besides, the effect of Forzest of making the erection easier to attain when needed lasts for 48 hours. So, taking on two consecutive days is not recommended. Etilaam (Etizolam) also needs to be taken two hours before sexual activity. But its effect lasts only for a few hours. So, it needs to be taken every day if you are planning to have sex daily. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
