Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have just received the results of blood work on my thyroid, hormones, and testosterone. I am having extreme mood swings, extreme anxiety, heavy periods, miserable ovulation, extreme fatigue, hair loss, etc. I have been to an obstetrics and gynecologist and a naturopathic doctor, and they stated that I have PMDD. My naturopathic doctor believes I have a thyroid issue and a hormonal imbalance with possibly low testosterone. I am trying to figure out what is going on that is making me feel terrible.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) are well in range, and I will suggest you get your magnesium levels and an ultrasound abdomen done to look at the uterus and adnexa. Take some magnesium supplements 250 mg once a day for two weeks. Avoid carbohydrates and junk food. Do intermittent fasting 16:8 with an eating window of eight hours and a fasting window of 16 hours. Practice HIIT (high-intensity interval training) maybe ten minutes twice daily. Maintain a daily diary for your moods and dominant thought patterns and write down what is it that predominantly makes you angry, irritated. Practice mindfulness and stress reduction techniques like breath awareness or meditational listening like Eckhart Tolle meditation audios and indulge in a meditational reading like Power of Now. Take some pre-probiotics twice daily for two weeks and should not add milk and chilies to the diet for two weeks. Once you have done these, wait for two weeks and get a complete thyroid profile done once. The above-said protocol will help you decrease the autoimmune process in the body.

Stay healthy and safe.

Take care.
