Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 35-year-old male. I have been noticing some concerning changes in my body over the past few months and I suspect it might be related to hormonal changes. I have been experiencing decreased sex drive, poor erection, and fatigue. I am starting to worry about the impact on my overall health. Could you please advise me on whether these symptoms can affect my fertility and if there are effective lifestyle changes that can help manage my symptoms? Please suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Low libido has reasons

  1. Infections – can be due to urine infection (can do urine complete and ultrasound of pelvis) to diagnose the cause.
  2. Diabetes, hypertension – make sure blood pressure and blood sugar are under control. If you are already on medication, please share the medication name.
  3. Hormonal disturbances - low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, high levels of prolactin – check for TFT, prolactin, and testosterone.
  4. Obesity - plan for regular exercise and yoga.
  5. Vitamin deficiency – check for vitamin D and B12.
  6. High cholesterol – check for lipid profile and plan for regular exercise.
  7. Chronic disease or on any chronic medication.
  8. Anxiety can also cause libido issues.

I suggest you do the following tests.

USG (ultrasound sonography) pelvis to rule out pelvis infection, thyroid check-up Free T3, T4, TSH, lipid profile to know cholesterol level, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar).

Kindly share more details regarding the above reason, so we can work on the cause and treatment. You can use the tablet Mildfil 5 mg twice a day as a temporary solution.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
