Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period last week and the day I finished my period we had intercourse then suddenly blood came again. Before the intercourse I checked I saw the white discharge so I make sure the period is done. But when we started and after a few seconds we noticed blood but had no pain or any other problems. A small burning sensation came around my stomach after a few seconds but not much.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. I want your detailed menstrual history. Do you have heavy bleeding during menses? This seems like an episode of post-coital bleeding. It could be because of a polyp or cervical infection. You can take a course of antibiotics. In the meanwhile, take rest. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Get a pap smear and vaginal swab.
  2. Get ultrasonography of the pelvis with endometrial thickness.
  3. Take tablet Tranexa (anti-fibrinolytic) 500 mg as needed.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
