Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My last period occurred at the end of May and overlapped with the beginning of June. I have had unprotected intercourse five times in the last three days. What is the likelihood that I will conceive? I have endometriosis but underwent surgery to remove the tissue in September last year. When is the earliest I can take a pregnancy test for accurate results? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. Firstly, I would like to inform you that, the chance of conception depends on various factors such as the partner's semen analysis status, the duration of your attempts, and the condition of your fallopian tubes. Generally, if you have been trying for less than a year and all other factors are fine, the chance of pregnancy in one cycle is around 20 percent. To avoid false negative results, I suggest you take a pregnancy test five to seven days after your next missed period. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
