Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I have been on Cytomid 250 due to hair fall. I had my last period two months back during the end of the month and I discontinued Cytomid 250 out of pregnancy suspicion during the same period the following month. I have been told that by baby is growing at a slower pace of one week difference when compared to normal growth. Shall I continue with the pregnancy?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Cytomid (Flutamide) is an anti-androgen and should not be taken in early pregnancy. It is a known teratogenic medicine. In pregnancy four to six weeks is the period of organogenesis during which you took the medicine. So, I strongly recommend you to terminate this pregnancy. I know it is tough but it is too risky to continue this pregnancy.
