Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I and my fiancee became physical last week. Now we are in doubt that she might be pregnant. We need some help and suggestions regarding this.

Answered by Dr. Megha Tuli

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There is no contraceptive that will work now as it has been a week. Emergency contraceptive works only within 72 hours. I suggest you wait for her period and if it gets delayed by a week do a pregnancy test and check. If positive we can handle the issue as per your need. All the best.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Are there any symptoms of pregnancy?

Answered by Dr. Megha Tuli

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Early pregnancy symptoms are very vague such as tiredness, mood swings, nausea, breast soreness and feeling bloated. But similar symptoms can occur even with excessively delayed periods. Therefore I suggest you do a pregnancy test incase her periods get delayed. Let me know how it goes.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
