Will multiple fibroids and HBsAg cause premature rupture of membrane?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had premature rupture of membrane. I lost total amniotic fluid like a gushing flow, that time actually I was in the toilet for elimination. I have multiple fibroids, and HBsAg positive, but I do not know what is the reason for the fluid leak. The doctor said it is because of HBsAg. Please tell me what is the reason behind this. Termination has been done. Prescribed for myomectomy surgery. Can you tell my possibilities of pregnancy and precautions for next time? And one thing, my body temperature in both palm and the sole is high compared to others. I do not have any fever.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The leak can be due to many reasons. The most common is due to some contraction of the uterus and may be due to a weak membrane and or more baby movement, sudden irritation, and strong contraction, due to some infection and many more. If you have one pregnancy with fibroid then there can be a pregnancy with fibroid and you can also go for myomectomy and then pregnancy. The only thing you should do is to take more care and more rest next time. and take medicines regularly with a regular check-up. Only these things are in our hands. The temperature of the palm and sole, is mostly because of your body nature and not related to any other thing (individual variations).
