Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Epigastric pain, acidity, and the feeling that food is not digesting properly can be caused by multiple conditions. One of the most common causes is acid peptic disease (APD), which includes irritation or ulcer formation in the stomach or duodenum.

Other possible causes may include gastritis, acid reflux, unhealthy eating habits, or delayed digestion. Let me know about the following so that I can guide you better.

  • At what time of the day does the pain occur?

  • What is the relation of the pain to food intake?

  • Does the pain occur more at night and wake you from sleep?

  • What type of diet is usually taken daily?

  • Do oily, spicy, or heavy meals worsen the symptoms?

In the meantime, the following steps may help improve the symptoms:

  • Take Omeprazole 40 milligrams once daily continuously for 14 days.

  • Take Sucralfate suspension twice daily consistently for ten days.

  • Try to eat very light meals, especially at night before you go to sleep.

  • Avoid spicy, oily, and fried foods for at least two weeks.

  • Avoid lying down immediately after eating your meal.

I hope this helps. For further queries, consult a doctor for proper evaluation.

Thank you.
