Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My husband was diagnosed with third stage prostate cancer last week. We have been called to schedule the treatment next week, but I want to collect some information prior, so it will be helpful when I go to the clinic tomorrow. Which is the standard treatment for this? Can it be cured since it is in the third stage? What is the prognosis?

Answered by Dr. Rajesh Gulati

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The third stage of prostate cancer is curable. The first option is surgery; if surgery is not feasible, radiation can be given, followed by hormonal injections and a tablet of Bicalutamide. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
