Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had a biopsy done on my tongue because I had a smooth recurring patch that would heal and return. The report came back with squamous mucosa with hyperplasia and acute inflammation, whereas the bacterial colonies were negative for carcinoma.
The doctor says it is because I chew my tongue while asleep, which I do not believe I do. I have never taken a drink or smoked. This all happened after lower tooth extraction and intake of antibiotics. What does this all mean? Can it become cancer? Do I have oral HPV?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Change your food habit with many veggies, fruits, and meat products. Avoid snack items, spicy foods, tobacco, and cold drinks. Do warm salt water gargle twice a day. Take a multivitamin tablet or vitamin B complex once daily for about 15 days. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medications with their consent.
This is not at all cancerous or HPV. Your condition may have occurred mostly due to dietary deficiencies. It will go away when you start following a balanced diet.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you want some help.
Thank you.
