Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have severe redness in my face. I also have a burning sensation in my face. What is it? Is it curable?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are suffering from rosacea. It occurs due to solar damage, and it leads to vasomotor instability causing erythema on the face, and a tendency to flush easily. Identify the triggering factors and avoid it. The common triggering factors are hot or cold temperatures, wind, hot drinks, caffeine, exercise, spicy food, alcohol, emotions, and topical products.

For red areas, you can apply Brimonidine gel twice daily after consulting your GP (general practitioner) or dermatologist. Use broad-spectrum physical sunscreen like Sun cross soft gel (Zinc oxide with Alkyl benzoate) with SPF (sun protection factor) 50 daily. Use it all over the face in the morning. You have to repeat it once in four hours.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
