Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My doctor said I have reflux esophagitis. But I do not have any of those symptoms. I was advised to take a particular diet and it seemed extremely difficult because I have never eaten any of that food before. I have also been taking the following medication that is tablet Pantoprazol Aristo 20 mg. How will I know if I no longer have the disease since I never had the symptoms of reflux esophagitis.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query in detail and understand your concern,

I would like to know your symptoms in detail in order to confirm the diagnosis of reflux oesophagitis. The only way to find out whether the medicines are working or not is the resolution of your symptoms. If your symptoms which were severe enough to make you visit a doctor are getting mild and are no more disabling your daily life then it means your body is responding to the medications and your health is improving. The information available on the internet can be sometimes misleading.

Hope this was helpful.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
