What could be done for the chronic infection in the butt to heal?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had an infection in the butt for more than a year and have taken many medicines, but it is still not healing. Kindly help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. The condition is known as Tinea corporis or dermatophytosis. It is a type of superficial fungal skin infection that can affect the groin, buttocks, or any skin area along with nails. I would suggest the following medicines. Take Capsule Syntran-SB (Itraconazole) 65 mg twice a day. Use Cream Luliconazole once at night. Take Tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once at night. Also, keep the clothes separately, including the towels. Thank you.
