Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a very itchy scalp. It irritates me every time, and some white flakes stick to my scalp, and my scalp pains sometimes due to itching. So I used the scalp shampoo. It relieved for a while, but it again started. Once, I went for a check-up for a white patch on my face, and the doctor told me it was due to my scalp or hair. Please suggest something so that I can get relief from it soon.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. It seems like you have severe dandruff. We call it seborrheic dermatitis. I suggest you use the following. Salisia KT shampoo has Ketoconazole and Salicylic acid in it. Use shampoo on alternate days to wash your scalp. Do not use any oil. Your condition is because of excessive oil production from sebaceous glands in the scalp. Take Tablet Teczine 5 mg (Levocetrizine) at night after food for five days if itching is too severe. There are a few other conditions, like scalp psoriasis and sebopsoriasis, requiring different treatment regimens. Kindly attach your clinical picture along with your query so that it is convenient for me to comment on your condition and suggest the proper treatment regimen.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
