Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am on Sertraline 50 mg for three days, I am suffering from brain fog and unable to sleep. My doctor told me to stay on 50 mg for 4 days and then switch to 50 mg two times per day. Is it fine?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
I can understand your situation. You can take a tablet of Sertraline 50 mg twice per day. Tablet Sertraline can be taken up to 200 mg per day. You will not have any problem. Sometimes patients may have GERD otherwise, it is the safest medication. You should also follow the few instructions mentioned below.
- You should do exercises daily for 30 to 45 minutes.
- You should do meditation for 20 minutes daily, just sit in one place in a comfortable position and try to concentrate on your normal breathing, do not stop or force yourself to stop your thoughts, just let it be. It will increase your concentration.
- You should eat healthy home-cooked foods, and avoid junk foods.
- You must drink enough water.
- You should spend quality time with friends and family daily.
- You should spend time on creative hobbies like reading good books, writing journals, painting, drawing, and learning new skills or language or musical instruments.
- You should take enough 7 to 8 hours of sleep daily.
- You must avoid tobacco or alcohol or any substance abuse.
I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
