Why has my partner had a sudden change in physical intimacy?

Hello doctor,

I was having physical realtionship with my friend for a few years. The relationship was on and off but for the last seven months we got more closer and then suddenly he just stops having sex and hanging out.

But after a while we started to hang out again but we did not have sex but he gives me full orgasm through touching and kissing. Why did he stop having sex with me?

Your friend’s confusing behaviours could indicate that he is ambivalent about the relationship. It can be very emotionally taxing for the other partner. People behave in an ambivalent manner when they are not sure whether they want just friendship or the romantic relationship.

You need to sort this out with him by talking to him about it. If he is in it for friendship but has just been having sex because it is convenient, then you might have to make some decision about whether you want to stay in such relationship.
