Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I felt doing snowboarding 2 days ago. My shoulder hurts more and more. My chiropractor gave me a prescription for an X-ray. I have my X-ray but nobody to read it before next week. Can someone read it for me and tell me if I need to go to emergency hospital or it can wait?

Hi,

Welcome to ilciniq.com.

I am so sorry for what happened. I can certainly help you to read your X-ray. If you are able to move you arm most probably it is not a complete fracture. Of course there may be incomplete fracture. Need to see the X-ray. Meanwhile try to stabilize your left shoulder and arm.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have attached the file. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I reviewed left shoulder X-ray images with different angles (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The image quality is very good. There is no evidence of bone fracture. Mild left shoulder soft tissue edema. Suggestion pain killer, rest the shoulder and arm. I am pretty sure we would see bone marrow edema if MRI was done but no need for that. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Treatment plan

Pain killer, left shoulder and arm rest.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
