Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My issue started two or three weeks ago, I was sleeping and felt some intense full-body vibrations and a buzzing sound. After that, it happened again after a week. Since then, I am afraid of sleep and have a low mood, heart palpitations, dizziness, and pressure in my head. Also, I have to undergo a root canal for my tooth infection. Could it be a sign that the infection has spread?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist. I can understand the situation. You have anxiety and not an infection in the body. You should try to follow the below lifestyle and get the following blood tests to deal with it.

  1. You should do regular exercises for 30 to 45 minutes like going for a walk.
  2. You should do meditation for 20 minutes daily, just sit in one place in a comfortable position and try to concentrate on your normal breathing. Do not stop or force yourself to stop your thoughts, just let them be. It will help you to relax and induce sleep.
  3. You should eat healthy home-cooked food, and avoid junk food.
  4. You must drink enough water.
  5. You should spend quality time with friends and family daily or do video calls if you are living away from your family.
  6. You should spend time on creative hobbies like reading good books, writing journals, painting, drawing, and learning new skills or language or musical instruments.
  7. You should take enough seven to eight hours of sleep daily.
  8. You must avoid tobacco or alcohol, or any substance abuse.
  9. Live your life, do not just spend it. Be bold and confident.

Get the following investigations done:

  1. CBC (complete blood count).
  2. RBS (random blood sugar).
  3. Thyroid profile.
  4. Vitamin B12.
  5. Vitamin D3.
  6. ECG (electrocardiogram).

I hope you got your answer. Please, let me know if you want some help.

Thank you.
