My voice is not clear. How to treat a throat infection?

I have a throat infection, and the sound is not clear. I have pain in my left neck and shoulder.

I understand your concern.

You can have acute tonsillitis, like an infection of the mouth, or Ludwig angina, like an infective etiology. Your posterior pharynx examination and lymph nodes palpation should be done for further workup in your case.

It is advisable to investigate with a throat swab culture report and CBC (complete blood count) as well. According to the examination and report, further course of management can be decided.

If inflammation is more, then a short-term steroid course might be needed. Antibiotic is given according to the culture report if needed.
