Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I recently finished my period two day ago, and yesterday I noticed a little cramping. I went to take a shower and noticed a brown mucus coming from my vagina. Today, I came out of the shower and noticed a little blood, but it did not reach my panties. I have a great stable pH balance, no medical issues, and no abortions. Also, my period has been irregular since having my baby five months ago. Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
There could be a few possibilities. Have you recently had sex, or is it post-coital bleeding? I suggest you consult a local gynecologist for a check-up. A hysteroscopic examination can diagnose any local pathology like cervical or endometrial polyp, cervical erosion, cervical pathology, local trauma, or an inflammatory lesion. Have you had any hormonal medicine recently? I suggest you get one vaginal swab to exclude any pelvic infection or a sexually transmitted disease. A cervical smear can be done to check cervical changes that normally lead to unscheduled bleeding, spotting, or discharge. Use condoms to prevent any transmission of the disease. Follow strict hygiene. Use comfortable and soft undergarments. Get all your lab tests and scans and discuss them with a gynecologist. I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
