Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have pain in the groin area for the past eight years, and I cannot walk, stand, or run and perform work activity for long. Please help. I feel it is STD because I am not an athlete. I took medicines for chlamydia and yeast infection in the penis.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Take Tablet Emanzen D (Serratiopeptidase with Diclofenac Sodium) twice daily for three days and Tablet Zifi (Cefixime) 200 mg twice daily after food for five days. Use Fucidin (Fusidic acid) cream at daytime for seven days and Miconazole gel at night for 15 days (on the lesion). Take Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night for ten days (if itching). Use Episoft (Ctearyl alcohol and Cetostearyl) cleanser or no soap cleanser to clean genitals. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Get all STI (sexually transmitted infection) panel laboratory tests to rule out STI. Also do urine culture or routine or microscopy. Regards.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thanks for your reply. Which STD is this? Is it lymphogranuloma venereum by any chance?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Is there any inguinal bubo? Do you have any increase in the frequency of urination? Do you have any ulcers on genitals? Do you have a burning micturition? Do you experience painful urination? Is there any urethral discharge? Are there any symptoms associated with it? Do you have any anal lesions? Do you have any bleeding or ulcer? Please attach the picture for confirmation of the diagnosis.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for your reply. I cannot say much about frequent urination, burning, and discharge, but definitely, there is no lesions, ulcer, or bleeding.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
In LGV (Lymphogranuloma venereum) infection, there are bilateral inguinal bubo discharging pus. Lymph nodes are affected (Inguinal lymph nodes). Is there any inflammatory swelling of inguinal lymph nodes? Do you have a fever? Do you have any chills, myalgia, muscle pain, and joint pain? Do you have any sweating or anorexia? Is there any lesion, bubo, swelling, or abscess? There is an inguinal bubo possibility as there is severe pain in the groin as bubo enlarges or difficulty in walking. In males prostatitis, epididymo-orchitis have been reported in LGV. Sometimes bloodstain discharge (mucopurulent), pain on passing stool, or stricture are noticed.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for your reply. I have excruciating joint pain in the groin and abscess; sometimes, when I take too much fast food, other than that, I have no other symptoms. Can I infect a partner with my current signs? My partner is getting skinnier, but I do not see myself losing weight. What can be the reason?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Confirm the diagnosis by doing laboratory investigations. Do urine culture for LGV, chlamydia and other STI. If LGV or chlamydia are positive, then take tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily after meals for three weeks. or Minocycline 300 mg twice daily for ten days. If active lesions are present, it can infect your partner also. Do you have any scarring? Are there any active lesions? Do you have any pus-filled lesions? Do you have a fever or abscess? Attach the picture of the lesion for better understanding.
Patient's Query
Thank you, doctor, for your reply.
I have three dots like bumps (fordyce). But from what I read, it tells me that it is not severe and there is no pain. The second image is the dried abscess, but it felt like boils when I squeezed it out. There is no swelling in my groin, but have excruciating pain after long walks, works, or running.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Use Fucidin cream twice daily for seven days (on lesions or excoriation or scratch marks) and Miconazole ointment or gel at night for 30 days (on inflammatory lesions). Take Tablet Azithromycin 1 g single dose with tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily after meals for seven days. This is alternative treatment for LGV). Take this after confirmation from laboratory tests. Use Candid (Clotrimazole) dusting powder (after bath) in the groin area for 30 days. Use Dersil AF ( Aloe vera, D-panthenol, Glycerin, Ketoconazole, Peppermint oil, and Tea tree oil) body wash and KZ (Ketoconazole) soap for bath. Avoid scratching or rubbing lesions as it may cause secondary bacterial infection and spreading of infection. Follow-up for any doubts. Regards.
