Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a heart patient, and I underwent bypass surgery ten years ago. After the surgery, I worked in manufacturing industry that needs cleaning products such as soap powder, hand wash, and dish wash. Recently, I have developed an allergy. I feel like something is sticking to my whole body, and I experience a sensation similar to chewing on a sponge in my mouth. What steps should I take, and which doctor should I consult? Please suggest. Thank you.

Answer:

Hi,Welcome to icliniq.com.Thank you for writing, and I understand your concern. Actually, these symptoms indicate an allergic reaction, particularly if you experience intense nasal irritation. To address this unusual sensation, I suggest consulting an endocrinologist or a physician in person. In the meantime, you can take the tablet Levocetirizine 10 mg once before bedtime for five days. If you have the tests done, please send me the reports so that we can proceed with further treatment accordingly. I suggest getting a CBC (complete blood count) with ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) test. Do you experience any pain while swallowing? Please let me know.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
