Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old woman who has been experiencing stress and anxiety, and I am curious about the potential benefits of music therapy for mental health and overall well-being. Can you provide insights into how music therapy works, its potential impact on mental health, and what conditions or symptoms it may be particularly effective for? Additionally, are there specific types of music or approaches to music therapy that you recommend for someone looking to improve their mental well-being?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. You may have an anxiety disorder. Music therapy is an old concept to deal with mental health. Music therapy helps to deal with depression and alleviate anxiety. Music helps to increase the secretion of Serotonin (Amino acid tryptophan) and Dopamine (Tyrosine) in the brain which helps to reduce your anxiety. Classic Indian music helps to deal with your stress and reduces anxiety. You should listen to it for at least half an hour daily. I hope I have cleared up all your doubts. Kindly let me know if you want some help.

Thank you.
