Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mother had a stroke three years ago. She is a high BP Patient. She is having headaches, heaviness in her head, and tiredness.

She is taking the following medicines,

  1. Tablet Cilnidipine 10 mg (twice a day).
  2. Tablet Indapamide sustained release 1.5 mg (once a day).
  3. Tablet Losartan IP 50 mg (once a day).
  4. Tablet Delisprin 150 (half tab a day).
  5. Tablet Atorvastatin 20 mg (once a day).
  6. Vitamin tablet once a day.

Even after taking these medicines, she feels all the above symptoms. What could be the reason? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I am sorry to hear about your mother's health concerns. Your mother needs to consult a doctor, it could be an emergency condition as she has a history of stroke. I think a CT (computed tomography) scan can help to find the cause of headaches. Persistent headaches can be a concerning symptom, especially for individuals with a history of stroke. Headaches can have various causes, including medication side effects, high blood pressure, stress, tension, or even secondary to another medical condition. Your mother needs to consult with her healthcare provider about her symptoms, particularly given her history of stroke. Her healthcare provider may want to assess her blood pressure, review her current medication regimen, and potentially order additional tests or examinations to determine the cause of her headaches. Adjustments to her medication or additional treatments may be recommended based on the findings. I suggest you consult with her doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Thank you.
