Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My shoulder and my back are sunburned with blisters and are stinging. I also had sunburn with blisters before, but without itching.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It appears you got a significant sunburn. Sunburn is a clinical response caused by the skin's acute exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Swelling and blisters may occur in extreme instances. Part of the treatment includes compresses of normal saline or potassium permanganate (1:10,000 dilution) that are used to wash away serous discharge, crust, and debris, as well as to help minimize leaking and irritation. In your instance, a systemic oral steroid may be required, but I suggest that you see your local dermatologist once.

I hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
