Hi doctor,
I noticed an inflammation on the tip of my penis a few days ago. It appears patchy, and I developed itchiness and inflammation of the urethra. Also, I have a burning sensation after urination. However, I underwent a few blood tests two months back, which were normal. Also, I underwent a CT scan of the urinary system after the suspected kidney stones, and the reports were normal. So, I currently use the ointments Canesten and Dermovate for this. The doctors I visited thought this could be balanitis. So, is this balanitis?

I went through your query and understood your concern. It is balanitis, and it must be treated with tablets. This inflammation is a part of urethritis which is inflammation of the urethra. So, I suggest you to take the tablets Ciprofloxacin (fluoroquinolone antibiotic) 500 mg twice daily for 14 days and Metronidazole (antibiotic and antiprotozoal) 400 mg thrice daily for seven days. Consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent. I also suggest you to under a few tests to check for sexually transmitted infections, like a blood test for syphilis, herpes virus infection, and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).

No, this is not cancer. And I suggest you to use Canesten (Clotrimazole) and Fucidin (antibiotic) creams. These are anti-fungal and antibacterial creams. Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.
