Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
A month ago, I was hospitalized for constant headaches and dizziness. A few days later, they sent me home with the diagnosis of tension headaches. I have been in physiotherapy for three weeks now.
For the past week or so, I have been feeling really weak, injuring myself constantly. The other day, I was blowing my nose and felt pressure in my ear and jaw. The next day, that side of my face did not feel much pain, almost like it was numb.
Today, I woke up with nerve pain all over my body. I took a pill, and it kind of went away. I took a bath, and as I was trying to stretch my leg, it sort of slipped, and my toes kind of felt separated, and it was painful to walk at first.
I took an Ibuprofen, and now I can walk, but my toes still feel strange. I lay down, and suddenly, the side of my leg softened.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You have multiple symptoms, but some symptoms, like weakness in limbs, are significant. I would recommend you go for a physical, neurological examination by a neurologist.
Nerve compression can give this kind of symptom, so if a neurologist feels then you should go for an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) or any other investigation. Meanwhile, you can continue with your current medicines.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I am afraid I will have to wait for weeks for that. Can my physiotherapist do anything about it?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Physiotherapy is just like painkillers. It will relieve symptoms, so you can do it in consultation with a good physiotherapist.
Thank you.
