What does shaky hands, stuttered speech, weak limbs, dizziness and twitching of limbs suggest?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
A month ago, I started experiencing strange symptoms. I started stuttering for two weeks could not speak the word out until the second or third try. I also had headaches for almost a month, hands and arms weakness, shaky hands, trouble grasping thin things like paper, dizziness, and twitching of legs and arms for about two weeks. I was wondering if a neurologist could take a look at my brain MRI images and let me know if there is anything of importance? I have an appointment with a neurologist next week, but I would like to have a second opinion.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I carefully reviewed your MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) images (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity). I would suggest that your brain MRI is quite normal, so we can completely exclude any possible brain tumor, infection, ischemia, or MS (multiple sclerosis). But there is an altered signal in your pituitary gland, and considering your symptoms; I would suggest these tests-
1. Thyroid hormone levels.
2. Pituitary gland hormone levels- adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH).
It would be best to discuss these tests with your doctor on the visit.
I hope you will find this information helpful. I remain at your disposal in case of further questions whenever you need me.
Kind regards.
