Pituitary Gland Malfunction

Pituitary gland malfunction can occur due to the development of noncancerous tumors such as adenoma, overproduction of one or more pituitary hormones due to pituitary gland tumors, or head injury. The symptoms of malfunctioning pituitary glands are headache, vision problems, loss of libido, weight gain, pale complexion, muscle wasting, and dizziness. It can be treated by taking hormonal replacement therapy in case of deficient hormone produced by pituitary glands. In addition, taking medications and surgery on tumors helps manage the overproduction of pituitary hormones.
