Is there a cure for ringing ears?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My ear inside is ringing like windy and sounds like bell-ringing while I take a rest in silence. Ringing like bell sound was too long six to seven years back, and sound like windy was new around three to four months back; how to cure? I need a doctor's advice on this matter.

Hi,

Welcome to the icliniq.com.

Following is my opinion on your asked question. You are having a tinnitus problem. Impacted wax, middle ear infection, and hypertension are a few of the causes of tinnitus. I suggest you consult an otorhinolaryngologist for an otoscopy ear examination. If impacted wax is present, syringing can be done, and a wax loosening drop can be prescribed. If hypertension presents, then antihypertensive medicine needs to be started.

I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards.
