Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend last month and took i pill within three hours. After eight days I had bleeding for three days which was not like period flow, what is this bleeding? I even had my period seven days before having sexual activity. I am really worried as I am still a teen. I cannot tell to my parents. Please help me out I do not want to get pregnant. And now it is already one month and still, I did not get my period. I am really worried, I did a home pregnancy test and it showed a single line that is negative can you please help me out?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Regarding your symptoms of not seeing your period this month. I propose you have developed irregular menses from the pills you took for pregnancy protection. Let me explain better, the bleeding you saw after having sexual activity was meant to be for this month's period, so expect your period by next month. If you did not see it, please take the tablet Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg. If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
