Does a foul-smelling vaginal discharge, breast pain, and disturbed periods after unprotected sex indicate pregnancy?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sex with my girlfriend for 22 days, without any precaution but the ejection was out of the vagina. But from the first day, she has had some symptoms like abdominal pain that continued for 18 days, vomiting twice or thrice a day for 14 days, and white secretion from the vagina twice a day. After 14 days of sex, breast swelling and pain occurred. She did not increase food intake. Now after 18 days, there is no abdominal pain, but watery secretion continues and that has a foul smell, and breast pain and enlargement continues. On the starting days, she had papaya for three days, ginger hot juice, and tea with jaggery, for prevention of any chances of pregnancy. Now I cannot understand what to do. Is this a positive sign of pregnancy? Please help. Her period has also been disturbed since the last two years when her father passed away. She had also taken two tablets starting the day after sex, those consulted by the doctor for period regularity for her.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern. The excess watery vaginal discharge is mainly because of severe vaginal infection and it's not a sign of pregnancy. Regarding the breast changes, it could be because of hormonal changes. Please get a urine pregnancy test done with an early morning urine sample to ensure that you are not pregnant. For the vaginal infection, please get yourself checked by a gynecologist internally and get a vaginal swab test done to rule out the exact cause. Avoid having sex till then. Wear cotton panties and loose lowers. Maintain personal hygiene and take plenty of fluids. Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time you use the washroom. Avoid using vaginal douches and creams. Do get back to me with reports so that I can guide you further.

Thank you.
