Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been wearing adult diapers to keep my bed dry cause there have been at times when I come close to wetting the bed. But a couple of nights ago I would wake up dry but when I would sit up or stand before I make it to the bathroom I would without knowing wet the diaper. My question is that is it normal and should I start to wear them during the day? I am 35 years old male and take no medicines. I was also told I have stress.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Since how long are you having night time incontinence? Is there daytime incontinence? Do you have frequency and urgency? Was a sonography done to look for prostate size and residual urine? Did you have urine infection in the past? Please get back to me with previous reports if any. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It happened a couple of weeks ago for the bedwetting and three days ago for the wetting as soon as I get up every morning. I have not got anything else. It just recently happened.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please consult your family doctor and get a urine test, blood sugar, and sonography of KUB (kidney, ureter, bladder) and PVR (post-void residual urine test) done. You may start tablet Solifenacin 5 mg once daily at bedtime if above reports are normal. The fluid restriction at nighttime will help.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
