Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I used a vacuum pump before five months without knowing how it worked. The pump started very fast, and I had an erection after one to two seconds and could not turn it off. I panicked and ripped the pump off. It was scary but not so painful. After this, my wife and I had sexual intercourse without any complications. However, the day after, I felt 50 % of my penis to be numb. I went to a doctor who checked me and said It was fine and that I probably had some nerve that needed to grow back. But, I still feel this numbness. I have sex four to five times a week with my wife. It sometimes makes it harder for me to get an erection. It feels like it is harder for the blood to enter the penis. It still feels great when I ejaculate, but the feeling during sex is also lower.

What is your opinion on this? Do you think the nerve needs growing, and do you think I will heal? Should I stay away from masturbation and sex?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

This numbness can be nerve injury or damage. It can heal, taking variable time even up to a year. I suggest taking tablet vitamin B-complex, one tablet three times daily for three months. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent. Again, it can take up to a year of the nerve healing process. Masturbation or sex will not delay healing. Instead, it encourages healing. If you have any more queries, please let us know.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I think my sensation has improved over time, even if it is still not as before. I was mainly worried about if this would bring future erection problems. However, I have never been unable to perform, even if it takes a bit more effort sometimes than before. Hopefully, the numbness will disappear, and this will not worsen.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Actually it will not get worse, and I hope it will be better. Keep me updated if there are any issues.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
