Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 33-year-old mother of three. My third child was born two years back. I am on contraceptives using Medroxyprogesterone acetate. For the past week, I have been having vaginal bleeding, every time I pee, when I wipe, there is a bit of blood. No pains or anything like that are present. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

It is important to note that any unexpected vaginal bleeding, especially while on hormonal contraceptives like Medroxyprogesterone acetate, should be evaluated by a healthcare provider. I strongly recommend reaching out to a gynecologist for a physical examination, for guidance, and to rule out any potential concerns. The bleeding you are experiencing could be related to various factors, including hormonal changes, the contraceptive method you are using, or other underlying conditions. Additionally, certain medications and health conditions can also cause irregular vaginal bleeding.

Seeking prompt medical advice is important to determine the cause of the bleeding and to ensure your overall health and well-being. Your healthcare provider can conduct a thorough evaluation, which may include a physical examination, relevant tests, and a review of your medical history to provide accurate guidance and support. Please reach out to a healthcare professional as soon as possible for further assessment and appropriate care.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
