Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I would like to inquire about seeing a gynecologist. My regular doctor is from another country and, he suggested medicine when I was there last month. Being here right now, I need the continuation of the medication as it was not complete. I need to know if I need to start from the beginning of the medication for 10 days twice a day, because I took only for six days and my medicines are finished. My cousin is unable to send me the medicine from that country, so it would be easier for me to just take medicine here. I had a Pap test done to check my vaginal fluids. I have all test results and prescription that I can share with you. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I would like to know when did you stop taking this medicine? And what are your symptoms at present? According to that, I can suggest further. Sometimes, if the symptoms are not that severe, we can only suggest this medication for seven days. It is not necessary to take it for ten days.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. I was taking Vibramycin 100 mg twice a day. I started this medicine 38 days back and continued for five days. My present symptoms are foul odor and unusual discharge, sometimes a bit itchy. It got triggered again due to sexual contact with my partner (once). Kindly advise me what my partner and I should do and what medicine I can take.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I suggest the following:

1) Tablet Fluconazole 150 mg single dose in the afternoon.

2) Tablet Secnidazole one gram, two tablets single dose in the night.

3) Along with this, use Candid-V6 (Clotrimazole) vaginal tablets daily before sleeping for six days (to be kept intravaginally).

4) Avoid sexual intercourse till this treatment is completed or use a condom.

5) For your partner- I suggest tablet Cefixime 400 mg single dose and tablet Azithromycin 1 gm single dose.

I hope you get well soon.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
