Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I tested positive for pregnancy three weeks back but I am getting a brownish-black mucus discharge once a day for four days now. I am currently taking Dydroboon, Trafolic, and Macgest 200.

Is it anything to be concerned about? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I have seen all three attachments (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). All your reports are normal except that in the urine examination, there is albumin in trace; as blood pressure is normal at present, we will not go into its detail but I would like you to repeat the urine examination after 15 days.

As far as the brownish-black thread-like discharge is concerned it is definitely a matter of worry as this is not a normal discharge. I would suggest you get an ultrasound of your lower abdomen done immediately because this may be an indication of a threatening abortion. I would also like you to get a B-HCG test done to know the viability of the growth of the baby. As you are taking all the medicines for this purpose so I would not like to add anything else but an ultrasound is necessary at this stage. Please get back with the ultrasound report so that proper treatment can be charted out.

Thank you.
