How to treat vaginal burning, bad smell, and pain?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My vagina is burning and physically just hurting. I have vaginal burning, an irrational lousy smell, and uncomfortable pain. I have a lot of symptoms of bacterial vaginosis, but I want to get a clarification. I have a history of yeast infections and UTIs.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It seems like you have some vaginal infection which is causing the problem. Please check yourself by a gynecologist and get a vaginal swab test done. Avoid having sex till then. Wear cotton panties and loose lowers. Maintain personal hygiene and take plenty of fluids. Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time you use the washroom. Avoid using vaginal douches and creams. Get back to me with reports so I can guide you further.

Take care.
