Hello doctor,

I am a 36-year-old female experiencing pain in my leg, specifically severe discomfort in my ankle and the left side of my IT (iliotibial) band. I have also noticed some dark discoloration on that leg. Could this be related to varicose veins or inflammation? I am concerned that my diet might be a factor, as I experience severe pain after having dinner later than 8 PM or eating outside food. Additionally, I have persistent mild pain. Could adopting a healthier diet alleviate this issue? My thyroid function is normal, and all blood tests are within normal ranges, but I do have deficiencies in vitamin B12 and vitamin D.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
