Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 19-year-old female with no health issues (except for acid reflux). Still, I have recently begun having lightheadedness, exhaustion, and headaches. These symptoms are always modest, yet they are unpleasant to live with. I decided to check my blood pressure, which was lower than usual. Since March, I have shed approximately 40 pounds, influencing my blood pressure. I first noticed the symptoms about two months after beginning my acid reflux diet, when I had dropped about 20 pounds. My weight has continued to fall since then, as has my blood pressure. I should point out that my blood pressure was never high, even when I was at my heaviest (213 lbs). I currently weigh 168 pounds. I was wondering if it is feasible for blood pressure to fall with weight reduction or if it is simply a coincidence. I have not seen a specialist yet, but I want to do so soon. Before I do that, I would appreciate it if you could offer me a few pointers on how to raise my blood pressure. My most recent reading was 101/46 mm Hg. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your dizziness and weight loss from acid reflux symptoms, I believe you have anemia due to vitamin B12. Please take a lot of vegetables, fruits, and tablet Folic acid 100mg twice daily. If your symptoms persist, schedule another follow-up appointment via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
