Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Yesterday, I had intercourse. This was not my first time of intercourse. But yesterday, I had a small amount of bleeding during intercourse, which included white discharge. The bleeding was in a small amount, but I am having a white discharge with an odor. Can you please tell me what are the reasons for this white discharge and bleeding?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can provide some general information that may help you understand your situation better. There could be several reasons for the bleeding and white discharge you experienced during intercourse. Some possible causes could include:

  1. Cervical infection or inflammation: Infections such as bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can cause abnormal discharge and bleeding.
  2. Cervical polyps or growths: These are noncancerous growths on the cervix that can sometimes cause bleeding during intercourse.
  3. Vaginal dryness: Insufficient lubrication during intercourse can lead to friction and irritation, causing bleeding and potentially white discharge.
  4. Hormonal changes: Fluctuations in hormone levels can affect the consistency and color of vaginal discharge.

It is important to consult a gynecologist for a physical examination. for an accurate diagnosis. They can evaluate your symptoms, perform any necessary tests, and provide appropriate treatment. They can also address any concerns about the odor associated with the discharge.

Thank you.
