Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had unprotected sex last week, and my period ended 17 days back. Since yesterday I have been experiencing an unusual sort of white discharge. I have a 35-day menstrual cycle. Am I pregnant?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

You had intercourse around your ovulation date. If it was unprotected, then there is quite a possibility of pregnancy, but since you had intercourse just last week, we can not say anything this early. White discharge is not a sign of pregnancy, which could be of some infection or usually also. If it is not excessive and smelly, then no need to worry about it is normal. Otherwise, this could be because of some local infections. Keep that area clean and dry to avoid such infections, and change undergarments twice daily. I would suggest waiting until your due date of periods before going to any conclusion.

I hope this helps.

Regards.
